Founded in 2010 by Lee Ayu Chuepa of the Akha hill tribe, Akha Ama Coffee is a social enterprise buying coffee directly from Akha farmers in Maejantai village at fair prices and supporting sustainable intercropping; it operates three cafes in Chiang Mai and two in Tokyo, Japan.
