Albertina is a quaint city located in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, nestled between the borders of Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo. With a population of approximately 3,011 residents as of 2020, the town thrives on its coffee-related activities, with numerous small to medium-sized farms dotting the region. Armando Costa, a local resident and influential figure in the community, has made significant contributions to the town’s development. As the owner of a Dry Mill, he has played an instrumental role in improving the local infrastructure, including the construction of paved roads. Armando’s dedication extends to supporting local schools and providing employment opportunities for the residents through his dry mill. This close-knit community has fostered strong relationships between the coffee producers and the Costa family. In collaboration with Costa Café, a project was undertaken to create a unique blend that captures the essence of the picturesque mountains in Albertina. The resulting blend showcases the distinctive regional flavors that have captivated the palates of locals and visitors alike. One notable symbol associated with the coffee produced in Albertina is the logo featuring the coffee goddess. Originally designed for the Greek market, this logo became popular among the local producers. It carries a touch of mythology and charm, reflecting the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the region. The decision to retain this logo was made collectively, serving as a testament to the pride and identity of the coffee community in Albertina. The captivating allure of Albertina’s coffee industry lies not only in its exquisite flavors but also in the close ties that bind the community together. It is a place where generations of families have dedicated themselves to the art and craft of coffee production, leaving a lasting legacy that continues to flourish.
