Founded in Poblacion by Rosario Chit Juan in 2012, Commune is the Philippines' most outspoken champion of 100% Philippine-grown coffee. The roastery sources Arabica and Liberica direct from smallholder farmers in Atok and Sablan (Benguet), Daguma (South Cotabato), Balutakay (Davao del Sur), Sitio Pluto, and Alfonso (Cavite), and runs a Coffee University with pour-over classes and farmer field trips. The Poblacion café is one of Metro Manila's enduring third-wave landmarks.
