Founded in 2002 in Gangneung by Kim Yong-deok, a former banker of 21 years, who pioneered Korea's factory-style cafe concept by installing a roasting plant inside the store. Sources green beans through direct trade visits to farms in Brazil, Ethiopia, Guatemala and Rwanda, and helped establish Gangneung's reputation as a coffee-tourism destination.
