Bellissimo started in Brisbane in 2002 and is one of Queensland's longest-running specialty roasters, with a roastery and training centre in Newstead. Founder Tony Owen-Jones built the business around Italian-influenced espresso blends combined with a serious single-origin program — a deliberate bridge between traditional and third-wave. Bellissimo has trained dozens of Australian competition baristas through its Coffee School arm.
