Founded in 2011 by German expat Philipp Schaefer and his wife Yael, Cafelix opened Tel Aviv's first inner-city micro-roastery in Jaffa after a three-year permit process. The roaster imports specialty green beans and roasts them in-house, and has since expanded to branches in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Berlin.
