Klinik Kopi was founded in 2013 in Yogyakarta by Firmansyah, known as Pepeng, a former freelance barista inspired by the dripper-and-clay-cup coffee culture he encountered in Japan. The shop sources coffees from Indonesian origins such as Senggani (Banjarnegara), Huta Batak and Temanggung, and partners with local pottery maker Kaloka for its serviceware, with education for coffee drinkers as its core mission.
