Space Roastery was founded in Yogyakarta in 2016 by William Christiansen, a Q Grader, and business partner Elvan Wenas, starting in a family garage roasting 10-15kg of coffee per month. It has grown into the largest specialty coffee roastery on Java, producing several tons monthly and representing Indonesian coffee at the 2023 World Economic Forum in Davos.
