Founded in June 2012 by Nathalia Gunawan, 1/15 Coffee (One Fifteenth) brought Melbourne-style specialty coffee to South Jakarta as a family project built into her father's dormant furniture showroom. The name references the 1:15 coffee-to-water brewing ratio Gunawan favors, and the cafe is credited as one of the shops that helped define Indonesia's third-wave coffee scene.
