Toko Kopi Tuku was founded in Cipete, South Jakarta in 2015 by Andanu Prasetyo, after roughly 2.5 years of recipe development following a university research project on Indonesia's low coffee consumption. Its Es Kopi Susu Tetangga (coffee, milk and brown sugar) became a nationwide trend and sparked Indonesia's iced milk coffee boom.
