A specialty roaster worth knowing
Deluxe Coffeeworks

Deluxe started as a single tiny espresso bar on Church Street in 2009 and has grown into a small chain of Cape Town cafés, all anchored by their own roastery. The Brazilian-Tanzanian house espresso is widely regarded as the city's default specialty espresso — punchy, chocolatey, forgiving. Single-origins like the Tanzania Utengule rotate alongside the staples. Equipment-forward fit-outs (vintage La Marzoccos, rebuilt grinders).
