Gimme! Coffee was founded in 2000 by Kevin Cuddeback in Ithaca, New York, and is one of the earliest American third-wave roasters — predating Stumptown and Intelligentsia by a few years on the East Coast scene. The Ithaca roastery on Nelson Road supplies five cafés across Ithaca, Trumansburg, and Brooklyn, and the company holds long-running direct-trade relationships in Bolivia, Nicaragua, and Ethiopia. Gimme! is also notable as the first specialty roaster in the US to be employee-owned via a worker cooperative structure (transitioned 2017).
