Blackcurrant Affairs Situated in the upper slopes of Nyeri County, Kenya—one of the most revered terroirs in East Africa—the Kamunyaka Wet Mill operates under the umbrella of the Iriaini Farmers’ Cooperative Society Ltd. Together with its sister wet mill, Kiamwangi, Kamunyaka delivers meticulously processed coffees that express the full potential of Kenyan Arabica at high elevation. With an altitude of approximately 1790 meters above sea level, Kamunyaka benefits from a cooler microclimate and extended cherry maturation, resulting in dense beans and layered cup complexity. The site is known not only for its rigorous washed processing but also for its experimental approaches, including natural (NH) and anaerobic fermentation methods—offering a unique dual-processing profile for specialty buyers.
