Woodberry Coffee Roasters was founded in 2012 in Yoga, Setagaya by Koki (Musashi) Kihara, who opened the shop at age 21 after his MBA studies in the US were interrupted by the 2011 Tohoku earthquake. The company sources naturally processed beans from producers worldwide and has grown to six locations across Tokyo's Kanto region.
