Founded in 2004 by brothers Vince and Michael Piccolo in Vancouver, 49th Parallel pioneered direct trade specialty coffee on Canada's West Coast and helped define third-wave coffee culture across the country. Their roastery in Burnaby supplies a network of cafes throughout Vancouver and the company also founded Lucky's Doughnuts as a pastry counterpart. The team runs a long-standing Producer Relationships program in Colombia, Ethiopia, and Central America. They roast on a Loring Smart Roaster.
