DIRECT TRADE COFFEE Description This Burundi Kayanza Butanyerera Natural comes from 289 smallholder farmers delivering ripe coffee cherry to the Nkuba Coffee Washing Station in northern Burundi’s Kayanza Province, one of the country’s most respected coffee-growing regions. Grown at 1647 masl in volcanic loam soils, this lot is sundried using natural processing, which helps develop deep fruit sweetness, rounded body, and expressive berry character. Roasted medium-light for filter brewing, the cup highlights notes of brown sugar, cherry, and dried berry, supported by gentle grape-like acidity, subtle cocoa undertones, and a sweet, fruit-forward finish.
