Decaf Coffee Description Process: Washed Notes: Sugar Cane Devoción uses a decaffeination process that combines spring water and ethyl acetate (EA) derived from sugarcane, a naturally occurring compound found in many fruits and vegetables. This process allows for gentle caffeine extraction from the bean with a washing process, avoiding excessive heat and pressure that would otherwise destructure the bean and change the cup flavor. Any residual acetate in the coffee evaporates during the roasting process.
