St. ALi opened in South Melbourne in 2005 and is one of the cornerstones of Australian third-wave coffee. The Yarra Place laneway café and roastery is famously hard to find on purpose; current owner Salvatore Malatesta has built it into a tight group including Sensory Lab and Outpost. St. ALi pioneered single-origin espresso menus in Melbourne and has fostered multiple WBC and WBrC finalists.
