Le Mixtape — House Blend
12.5 EUR
Le Mixtape Le Mixtape is our house blend. It offers a more classic espresso profile, smooth and sweet, and works well with all types of milk. It’s available all year round and built from coffees sourced from a small group of producers. Rio Brilhante Classic — Brazil Fazenda Rio Brilhante is a family-run coffee farm located in the Pântano microregion of Minas Gerais. It was founded by Inácio Urban, who came from a background in small-scale food farming. He started by planting just 0.2 square kilometers of coffee trees to learn how to grow coffee, on land most people thought was unsuitable. That same land now hosts more than 16 square kilometers of coffee, divided into 45 sections depending on microclimate and terroir. Today, the farm is managed by Inácio’s children, Erika and Fernando, and his son-in-law Noé. They work with our export partner Los Volcanes Coffee, who adapted their Guatemalan processing models to suit the Brazilian terroir. Each lot is separated by harvest day and plot and blended based on cup profile. This one was chosen for its sweetness, clarity and texture, which make it a perfect base for Le Mixtape. Huitaca — Colombia Huitaca is a washed regional blend from Colombia and part of Sucafina’s Originals program. A portion of every bag sold supports a project through the Farmgate Initiative. In this case, the funds go to Coffee for Clean Water, a project led by the non-profit Local Partners to build and maintain access to safe drinking water. Expect notes of almond, stone fruit, vanilla, milk chocolate and a smooth caramel finish. The name comes from the goddess Huitaca, a symbol of music and sexual freedom in Muisca mythology, who was turned into a white owl for defying the patriarchal god Bochaca. Korongo AB — Tanzania Korongo means “flamingo” in Swahili. This regional lot comes from the southern highlands of Tanzania, specifically Mbozi, Mbeya and Mbinga. It is curated by Sucafina Tanzania, the local arm of our importing partner Sucafina Specialty. The AB grade refers to the medium bean size, following East African grading systems. With honey-like sweetness, balanced melon acidity and a clean texture, Korongo rounds out the blend beautifully. It also makes for an easy and approachable filter coffee on its own. Projects and impact – Rio Brilhante is certified by Rainforest Alliance and UTZ and committed to sustainable family farming.– Huitaca supports Coffee for Clean Water, improving access to clean water in rural Colombia.– Korongo is part of a coffee tree regeneration program that helps Tanzanian producers renew their farms with free seedlings and agronomic support. Seasonal adjustments Like all agricultural products, coffee changes with the seasons. While we maintain a consistent flavour profile, the components of Le Mixtape may vary throughout the year. We adapt the blend as needed to preserve balance and character.
