A region with a global reputation for producing some of Kenya's most exceptional coffee. Established in 1983, Kamwangi has stayed committed to both quality and sustainability. The factory has taken real steps to protect the surrounding ecosystem, including relocating wastewater soak pits away from natural water sources, allowing it to safely infiltrate the soil and reduce environmental impact. The coffee is washed, with careful fermentation and drying. Clean processing that lets the varietal character do the talking. In the cup, expect malt and caramel on the nose with flavours of black tea, plum, and a cocoa aftertaste. Medium acidity and a heavy, satisfying body.
