Honduras - Café Orgánico Marcala SA Taste notes - Rich notes of milk chocolate and nuts Café Orgánico Marcala SA is a cooperative located in the Marcala coffee region that sits at 1,200-1,600 meters above sea level. The Café Orgánico Marcala SA co-operative was founded in 2001 by 69 farmers who set out to encourage quality, organic and chemical free agriculture. The cooperative now has over 1,200 members producing specialty grade organic coffee. This single origin follows a washed process, where the skin of the coffee cherry is removed (also known as the de-pulping process) before it is fermented in water to break down the cherries flesh (mucilage). Then water is used to wash the flesh away before it's dried in preparation for shipment. From crop to cup, every step we take is about bringing you the perfect coffee. Available in coffee beans, plunger grind, stovetop grind, espresso grind and filter grind.
