• LOMI - Specialty Coffee from Sidama, Ethiopia Specialty coffee, directly from Ethiopia. Sustainably produced, roasted in Denmark. We work with local farmers. Direct trade means fairer prices for growers. It also ensures full transparency and trust. This coffee is from Sidama. Sidama is a highland region in southern Ethiopia. It is one of Ethiopia's most famous coffee areas. Smallholder farmers grow coffee in forest gardens. These gardens support biodiversity and soil health. We partner with farmer cooperatives. Farmers grow, harvest, and process with care. They use traditional washed processing methods. This brings out clarity in flavor and brightness. Sidama coffees are known worldwide. They are light, clean, and very fruity. Our Sidama roast is soft and delicate. Flavour Profile: Sweet • Fruity • Citrus Aroma Expect floral and citrus top notes. The first sip gives soft fruit. Lemon and lime sit at the front. You may also sense sweet orange. A gentle floral aroma rounds it out. Acidity is bright but smooth. Never sharp or overwhelming, just vibrant. The body is light and silky. This gives the cup elegance and ease. As the coffee cools down, you may taste white peach notes. Even soft herbal touches can appear. There is sweetness from start to finish. This is a great morning coffee. Its lightness is calming and refreshing. Also ideal for a midday reset. How It’s Grown and Made Coffee grows at 1,700 to 2,200 masl. That means cooler air and slower growth. Slow growth leads to complex flavors. Fertile soil adds minerals and depth. Farmers hand-pick only ripe cherries. They sort them for consistency. The coffee is then washed clean. Then it is dried in the sun. In Ethiopia, many 'fair trade' models don't work. The coffee farms are too small to benefit from simply selling coffee at a fair price. To truly make an impact, we need to look beyond that transaction. At Impact Roasters, we're committed to ethical business practices and sustainability, both in the coffee beans we roast and in the local Ethiopian community. However, we realized that existing ethical trade models, like Fairtrade, weren't effective in Ethiopia. The small coffee farms we work with couldn't afford the investments needed to meet the standards of these certifications. That's why we developed our own approach called The Impact Trade model.
