Flavour Profile: Jasmine, Elderflower, Mango Heritage • Direct Trade Coffee • From the Region of Antioquia, Colombia • Grown in an altitude of 1800 - 2000 masl • Geisha varietal • 96hr Extended Fermentation Honey Process A beautiful Colombian Geisha showcasing the unique terroir of La Reserva, elevated by a 96-hour anaerobic fermentation and finished with a meticulous honey process. The result is a cup that balances elegance, complexity, and vibrant sweetness. La Reserva, found in the municipality of Ciudad Bolivar, Antioquia, is the first release within the Cast Iron Black Label range. When farm owner Carlos Pineda first arrived at La Reserva, the farm was abandoned and it was said the production was all but impossible. He saw that the land had the right characteristics, such as the altitude and soil, to produce high scoring specialty coffees. He wasn’t wrong. It’s altitude makes it perfect for developing complex profiles and is showcased perfectly in this 96hr extended fermentation Honey Geisha. Expect the classic florals you would find with this varietal along with tropical notes of mango and passion fruit rolling to give peach and vanilla. This is coffee showcased at it’s very best! Roast Level: light medium We roast this beautiful coffee to a light-medium level so it is perfect for filter coffee and for espresso drinkers who enjoy bright, fruity shots. For espresso, we recommend it is rested for 2 weeks before use.
